Allianz Insurance plc (formerly known as Allianz Cornhill) has been part of Allianz AG since 1986 - one of the world's largest financial service providers with a presence in more than 70 countries.

The company is able to offer a wide range of insurance products, including home, motor and a comprehensive portfolio of commercial insurance solutions. Allianz Personal offers a wide range of products through insurance intermediaries. The scope of cover available ranges from motor, home and travel insurance through to the more specialist products such as cover for classic cars, barn conversions and wedding insurance.

Following the award of an IiP accreditation for our investment in the ongoing training and development of our staff, in 2001 Allianz Insurance plc launched an Underwriting Academy to ensure that the company's underwriters remain at the forefront of risk analysis and underwriting.

Allianz Insurance plc employs over 4,000 people nationwide. The company has two Head Offices - one in the City of London for the company's Actuarial & Planning and Investment Departments, and the base for the Chief Executive; and a main operating site in Guildford, Surrey, where most of the management, administration, finance and information technology services are situated. There is a network of branches throughout the country, as well as divisional centres in London, Tunbridge Wells, Bristol, Brentford and Liphook.
